Immersive & 9D Cinema
Immersive & 9D cinema
Scores for multi-sensory attraction films, where music works with surround sound, motion seating, and physical effects rather than picture alone.
These projects sit between film score, installation, and ride experience. The score is hybrid cinematic — orchestral and electronic in the same texture — changing styles quickly, making bold statements with strong colours and clearly defined lines. It also has to leave room for the venue itself: seats, air, vibration, light, and the spatial impact of the theater.
Evans & Sutherland · 2013 · Tiens International Health Industrial Park
Tiens 4D / 9D attraction films
A planned series of six short immersive films about the human body, produced by Evans & Sutherland for the Tiens International Health Industrial Park. Four were completed; difficulties at the Tiens company brought the series to an early end. The music was written for a multi-sensory environment where score, surround audio, motion seating, and physical effects formed part of the same visitor experience.
